About the Role

At Survitec, the world’s largest survival technology provider, we are seeking a passionate Credit & Collections Lead to drive our financial operations and ensure the health of our customer relationships.

As Credit & Collections Lead, you will:

  • Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts
  • Receive and apply payments accurately
  • Resolve disputes and escalate non-payment issues
  • Provide subject matter expertise and team mentoring

Key Responsibilities

Your primary objective is to optimise cash flow by effectively managing credit risk and collections.

  • Credit Risk Management
    • Conduct credit checks following Survitec credit policies
    • Record outcomes accurately, promptly, and systematically
  • Customer Dispute Resolution
    • Resolve customer disputes to ensure timely and full payment
  • Account Monitoring & Collections
    • Locate and monitor overdue accounts
    • Use automated systems and computer-based tools for tracking
    • Direct communication with delinquent customers (phone/mail)
  • Debt Payment Strategies
    • Persuade customers to clear debts
    • Negotiate debt repayment schedules within own authority scope
    • Grant credit term extensions when appropriate or escalate issues
  • Financial Record-Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records on customer financial status and collection efforts
    • Organise and file correspondence, clerical duties (e.g., answering queries, writing reports)
  • Customer Communication & Support
    • Address account-related inquiries promptly and professionally
    • Provide advice for debt resolution and negotiation strategies

Management & Leadership

  • Personal Accountability
    • Meet all performance measures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Monitor workload to ensure compliance with deadlines
  • Team Leadership
    • Report on and manage team performance
    • Set performance objectives and hold team members accountable
    • Coach & develop team members via on-the-job support
    • Address non-compliance and resolve performance issues, escalating as needed
    • Review behaviours and processes to ensure adherence to Survitec policy and regulatory standards

Who You Are

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in comparable finance or collections roles
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Desirable Criteria

  • Third-level qualification in Finance
  • Experience in a global shared service centre
