This would be an exciting opportunity for a professional who has a proven track record of working in credit control and some experience of supervising or managing others. Our client is offering £35,000 - £42,000, annual profit share, ad hoc home working, flexibility on hours, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (that increases with service), BUPA healthcare and other benefits.

Our client is a £22 million turnover national business that values collaboration, innovation and delivering outstanding service to customers throughout the UK. You will be based from the head office in Normanton.

Description

You will be reporting into the Financial Controller who has progressed within the business over the last 8 years. You will be responsible for leading the credit control function - ensuring effective cash collection, active management of credit risk and strong control over the sales ledger. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Leading, managing and developing a team of 3
  • Setting your team clear targets and driving a culture of accountability and ownership.
  • Delivering your own cash collection targets
  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly cash collection
  • Own the cash collection scorecard, and ensure it is accurate, reconcilied and understood
  • Provide debtor reporting to the Financial Controller and Senior Leadership Team
  • Analyse trends in debtor days, aged debt and cash performance
  • Identify risks and opportunities and propose actions
  • Own and maintain the credit policy
  • Manage relationships with credit insurers and agencies
  • Oversee credit limit setting, reviews and approvals
  • Supporting team members with dispute resolution and complex accounts
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the function to improve efficiency and accuracy

Profile

To apply for this position you must:

  • Have a proven track record of working in credit control
  • Have experience of managing or supervising others

Job Offer

  • £35,000 - £42,000 (but there might be negotiation for a standout candidate)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, which is creased by 1 day for every year's service up to 29 days
  • BUPA healthcare
  • 10% annual profit share (in the last 2 years this has been between c. £1,000 and £2,500)
