We Are Looking For an Experienced and Proactive Credit Controller

You will play a vital role in managing outstanding debt, resolving queries efficiently, and working collaboratively with both internal stakeholders and external customers, primarily Schools and Trusts.

About The Role

We're looking for an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our credit control function within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Reporting into the Finance team, you'll be responsible for maximising cash collection, managing credit risk and leading a high-performing credit control team.
  • You'll oversee the end-to-end credit control process, manage complex customer queries and disputes, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to support commercial decision-making and minimise risk.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, develop and support the Credit Control team, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
  • Oversee debt collection activity, aged debt management and escalation processes.
  • Produce reporting and analysis to drive collection performance and improve processes.
  • Manage bad debt provisions, legal escalations and customer mediations where required.
  • Act as a point of contact for contractual and credit-related queries.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Operations and Legal.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing a Credit Control team in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of credit control processes, debt recovery and credit risk management.
  • Commercially minded with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident managing stakeholder relationships and complex customer conversations.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
