Role Description
The Credit Controller role is a full-time position based in Leeds with a hybrid working arrangement, combining office-based work with some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Managing customer credit accounts
- Monitoring debtor balances
- Ensuring timely payment of invoices
- Conducting credit checks
- Assessing credit risk
- Setting or reviewing credit limits in line with company policies
- Proactively following up on overdue accounts
- Handling debt collection activities in a professional manner
- Resolving account queries by liaising with internal teams and customers
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing credit and debt reports for management
- Contributing to continuous improvement of credit control processes

Qualifications
- Strong experience in Credit Control and Credit Management, with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts effectively.
- Practical skills in Debt Collection and working with Debtors, using professional communication to recover overdue balances.
- Solid understanding of Finance principles, including accounts receivable, reconciliation, and cash flow impact.
- Proficiency with accounting or CRM systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for reporting and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a credit control or similar finance role; professional finance or credit qualifications are an advantage.
