The ideal candidate:

  • An experienced Credit Controller, ideally from a product-led or FMCG business
  • Technically strong, process-driven, and passionate about systems, automation, and efficiency
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, able to build structure and controls under pressure
  • Detail-oriented and collaborative, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders
  • Confident communicator who can influence across all levels of the business
  • Intermediate or advanced excel skills are desirable
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight time frames
  • Sage experience preferable

Scope of the role:

  • Manage the Aged Debtor Report and credit control for the business, with tasks including sending weekly statements, chasing customers for payment, overseeing EDI as required, and maintaining an ADR tracker. Sending an update on the status of the ADR to management at the end of each period, with follow up on specific actions
  • Sales ledger invoicing – processing all sales invoices and credit notes, self-billing for Reynolds, assisting with bank reconciliation and providing weekly dispatch updates. Helping to progress the automation of this process
  • Set-up of new customers in Sage, running credit checks and providing assessment / recommendation of credit limits
  • Manage incoming debit notes and maintain a tracker ensuring they are processed in an appropriate timeframe by Supply Chain, sending update emails to Finance / Supply Chain and disputing claims with customers where relevant
  • Maintain pricing and VAT status in the Sage SOP module. Communication with Sales and Supply Chain to ensure this is kept accurate and up to date
  • Complete monthly CBS submission for itsu Netherlands subsidiary
  • Assist with calculation and posting of bad debt accruals
