Credit Controller
Hybrid Working | £32,000-£38,000 + Benefits | Career Progression
We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing professional services business that is looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join its expanding finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic B2B organisation where you'll take ownership of the credit control function, helping to maximise cash collection, reduce aged debt and build strong client relationships. Experience within professional services, subscription-based businesses or accountancy services would be highly advantageous.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end credit control process across a portfolio of B2B clients.
- Chasing outstanding payments via telephone and email.
- Reconciling customer accounts and resolving invoice queries.
- Monitoring aged debt and proactively managing credit risk.
- Producing debtor reports and supporting cash flow forecasting.
- Negotiating payment plans where appropriate.
- Working closely with finance and operational teams to resolve billing issues.
- Identifying opportunities to improve credit control processes and reduce debtor days.

About You
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Collections.
- Experience working within a B2B environment.
- A background in professional services, subscription-based businesses or accountancy would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience using Xero, Sage or similar accounting software.
- Excellent organisational skills with a proactive, commercially minded approach.
