Credit Controller
Credit Controller – Lomondgate Depot

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Credit Controller based in our Lomondgate depot. In this essential role, you’ll safeguard our organisation’s financial health by managing credit risk, ensuring timely accounts receivable, and driving the collection of outstanding balances through analysis, proactive communication, and strong stakeholder engagement.
About the Role
As a Credit Controller, you will:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, logging all collections activity and account data in our systems.
- Proactively manage customer accounts, enforcing adherence to payment terms via effective phone and email chasing.
- Support bad debt processes, including monitoring, reporting, and write-offs.
- Log and resolve customer queries efficiently, maintaining detailed records of all communication.
- Contribute to debtor reviews, including weekly calls, and support new account setups and ongoing credit assessments.
Responsibilities
- Debt Collection & Account Management:
- Maintain rigorous records of collections activity and accounts receivable.
- Proactively manage customer accounts, ensuring timely payment while fostering productive business relationships.
- Ensure all transactions comply with agreed payment terms and conditions.

Debt & Compliance Support:
- Monitor bad debt levels, report on issues, and manage the write-off process.
- Assist in credit risk assessment for new and existing clients.

Customer Service & Communications:
- Resolve queries swiftly, documenting all interactions clearly.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.

Process & Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in regular debtor reviews (e.g., weekly calls).
- Support administrative tasks and system reconciliation.
You Are
- Proven Credit Control & Collections Expertise – At least [X years] experience in credit control, with a strong track record of driving collection success.
- Credit Risk & Compliance Knowledge – Deep understanding of credit checking methods, risk assessment principles, and financial regulation.
- Detail-Oriented & Organised – Ability to maintain meticulous records while managing multiple deadlines.
- Tech & Microsoft Savvy – Confident using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office tools efficiently.
- Customer-First Mindset – Skilled at turning challenges into opportunities while building strong relationships.
