Ascent Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a fantastic business in Manchester as they look to appoint a Credit Controller to join their friendly and supportive finance team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller looking to join a business with a fantastic culture and genuine progression opportunities.

The role will involve:

  • Chasing overdue debt across a varied customer base
  • Managing customer queries and working closely with internal teams to resolve issues
  • Sending customer statements and responding to copy invoice requests
  • Supporting with cash allocation and posting customer payments
  • Requesting and managing remittance advices
  • Carrying out credit checks on new and existing customers
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales ledger queries
  • Working closely with the sales and customer service teams
  • Managing your own workload and ensuring deadlines are met

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within Credit Control or a similar Accounts Receivable role
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident approach to chasing debt
  • Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
  • A methodical and organised approach to work
  • Good Excel skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • A positive, personable approach and willingness to learn
