About the Role

You’ll manage your own customer ledger while collaborating with finance, operations, and customers to maintain strong relationships and improve collections performance. Every day will be unique, offering autonomy and support from an experienced, collaborative finance team.


Responsibilities

Key tasks include:

  • Taking ownership of your own customer ledger
  • Managing aged debt and ensuring outstanding balances are collected efficiently
  • Building positive customer relationships to encourage timely payments
  • Investigating and resolving invoice and account queries
  • Producing and reviewing aged debt reports
  • Keeping managers and stakeholders updated on collection performance
  • Collaborating with invoicing, treasury, and accounting teams
  • Assisting with cash allocation as needed
  • Supporting month-end reporting and finance activities
  • Identifying process improvements to streamline operations
  • Supporting finance integration following business acquisitions
  • Delivering a professional, customer-focused approach throughout collections

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience in Credit Control
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence in handling challenging conversations professionally
  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficient Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Enjoyment in working collaboratively as part of a finance team
