Credit Controller
Credit Controller – Wholesale Distribution
📍 Sheffield | 💰 Competitive Salary | 🕒 Full-Time
HDM Solar Wholesale is one of the UK’s fastest-growing renewable energy distributors, supplying solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and associated products to installers nationwide.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Credit Controller to join our finance team.
This is not a traditional accounts role—we are looking for someone who can:
- Build strong customer relationships
- Manage credit risk
- Actively drive cash collection
- Support continued sales growth
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts
- Chasing overdue invoices via telephone and email
- Reviewing and setting customer credit limits
- Monitoring customer exposure and payment performance
- Investigating and resolving invoice disputes
- Working closely with Sales and Operations teams
- Producing aged debt and collection reports
- Supporting credit insurance and credit reference processes
- Helping to improve systems, reporting, and automation within the credit control function
- Processing receipts and reconciling the sales ledger

What We’re Looking For
- Previous Credit Control experience within a B2B environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Confidence dealing with customers at all levels
- Commercial awareness and sound judgement
- Strong Excel and systems skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
- At least 10 years’ experience within wholesale or distribution
