Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor & manage outstanding premium balances across multiple insurance products
  • Collaborate with brokers and underwriters (at least monthly) to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments
  • Chase overdue balances via phone, email, and in-person meetings, maintaining professional and diplomatic communication
  • Maintain records of all client interactions, ensuring accurate, up-to-date notes in the insurance accounting system
  • Escalate problematic accounts to Underwriting and Premium Accounting teams, recommending appropriate action
  • Liasise with Accounting & Reconciliation (A&R) teams to resolve system issues
  • Engage with Offshore teams when required
  • Stay informed of London Market financial news affecting brokers within your remit

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of principles and practices in general insurance
  • Familiarity with the Lloyd’s market
  • Analytical aptitude with a keen eye for detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills and time management
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal)
  • IT proficiency (preferred but not mandatory)
    • Intermediate to advanced experience in Excel, Word & Access
    • Familiarity with IRIS or Lloyd’s/Company bureau systems (plus point but not essential)

Role Factors

  • Typical Office Requirement: 9 days per calendar month, plus flexibility for additional days when needed.
