Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage premium balances across multiple insurance products
- Collaborate with brokers and underwriting teams (monthly minimum contact) to:
- Resolve discrepancies
- Promote timely premium payments
- Follow up on overdue balances via:
- Phone
- Face-to-face meetings
- Maintain professionalism and diplomacy throughout
- Keep communication records accurate and well-documented in our insurance accounting system
- Escalate complex accounts to:
- Underwriting teams
- Premium Accounting management
- Suggest potential solutions
- Support technical fixes in collaboration with the Accounting & Risk (A&R) team
- Liaise with offshore teams as required
- Stay aware of London Market financial updates regarding brokers in your remit
Although the role primarily focuses on credit control duties, additional responsibilities may also be assigned periodically depending on operational needs.

Requirements
Core Qualifications
- General insurance knowledge (principles and practices)
- Lloyd’s market familiarity strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Exceptional organisation and time management
- Effective communication (written & verbal)
Technical Skills (Ideal, Not Mandatory)
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Experience with Microsoft Access
- Familiarity with IRIS systems (preferred, though not essential)
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s or company bureau systems
Work Arrangement
- Typically 9 office days per calendar month
- Additional days may be required based on operational needs
