We are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join our dedicated team at the Dudley office. If you have previous experience working in a collections environment and can support enhancing the credit control function, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Role
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maximising the collection of debt, while ensuring that the debtor days are reduced in line with company targets. This position is working mainly within the Prelitigation Team
Key Responsibilities:
- Debt management and collection of customer accounts with an emphasis on reaching a resolve to feedback to the customer and/or business
- Responsibility for your section of the ledger
- Achieving agreed collection targets
- Providing reports on the performance of accounts
- Controlling and monitoring the daily debt
- Monitoring cash allocation and proposing corrective action on allocated accounts where needed
- Escalating serious issues to the Team Leader or Credit Manager
- Providing an excellent level of customer service and confident communicator
- Resolving all business queries within agreed timeframes
- Ad hoc administration duties

Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience within a collections environment
- ICM qualification would be advantageous
- Ability to initiate and facilitate continuous improvements
- Work to strict timeframes
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Pivot tables
- Understanding of audit controls
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Good organisation skills
