Credit Controller
Are you an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and making a real difference to a business?
About the Role
We're looking for a Credit Controller to join our friendly Finance team. This is an important role where you'll work closely with clients and colleagues to help manage customer accounts, resolve queries and ensure payments are collected in a professional and customer-focused way.
At Old Mill, we believe great Credit Control is about far more than chasing payments. It’s about building trusted relationships, having good conversations, and finding solutions that work for everyone.
The Opportunity
You’ll work as part of our Credit Control team, helping to ensure payments are collected in a timely manner whilst maintaining the high levels of service our clients expect. Rather than managing a dedicated portfolio of clients, you'll collaborate across the team's workload, supporting colleagues and delivering a consistently high level of service.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you’ll resolve queries, keep accurate records, and play an important role in supporting the wider Finance team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
