About the Role

Debt Chasing & Customer Communication

  • Chase outstanding debts via telephone and email in a professional and consistent manner.
  • Respond promptly to incoming calls from customers, branches, and internal teams.
  • Send monthly statements to customers to assist with timely payments.
  • Address customer queries arising from statements or debt chasers.

Query Management

  • Forward invoice queries to the relevant branch for investigation.
  • Chase branches for resolution of outstanding queries to ensure no payment delays.
  • Escalate problematic or unresolved queries to senior staff or the Credit Manager.
  • Assist branches with any credit control or account-related questions.

Requirements

Account Administration

  • Update the evolving debtor spreadsheet daily.
  • Add detailed notes to Dimensions and internal spreadsheets to ensure full account visibility.
  • Split invoices as required and follow up with the correct contacting party.
  • Investigate and correct misallocations promptly to maintain accurate customer balances.
  • Help manage the Credit Control inbox by responding or allocating tasks when necessary.

Process Management

  • Issue monthly customer statements and track responses.
  • Follow up on customer queries arising from statement runs.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with branch teams to resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Provide support to colleagues in the credit control team during busy periods or absences.

  • In-office presence: Expected to be in our central London office two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday, 8.30am - 5.00pm).
