Position Title: Accounts Receivable Credit Controller - FTC

Location: Bournemouth (2 days per week after successful training completion)
Reports to: Accounts Receivable Team Leader

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Credit Controller to join the Accounts Receivable team on a rolling Fixed Term Contract basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the collection process for a number of UK Customer Accounts
  • Managing the ledger action plan for customers > 15 days and > 30 days overdue
  • Outgoing calls to chase customers for overdue payments
  • Query management, liaise with Customers, customer service and sales, and the Cash Service Centre
  • Account reconciliation
  • Internal control checks
  • Chase customers for Remittance advice
  • Own & manage customer deductions
  • Issue copy invoices
  • Own Payscore, DSO, and Risk Money for your customers

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years’ Credit Control experience required
  • Strong PC literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using SAP is desirable
  • Proven experience managing customer collections and resolving payment-related issues
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and action plans
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing business priorities
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, particularly when assessing customer risk and credit exposure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience dealing with sensitive payment discussions and handling customer queries professionally
  • Demonstrated customer-focused approach and confidence when interacting with customers
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload and large customer ledgers in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Services, Finance, and Master Data teams
