Job Description
The Credit Decisioning and Systems Lead is responsible for defining and evolving the approach that underpins service delivery enablement across FGFS.
We’re seeking a commercially focused individual to lead the design, optimisation, and scaling of our credit decisioning capabilities across Frasers Group Financial Services, ensuring our systems drive smarter, faster, and more effective customer outcomes.
You will collaborate closely with Credit Risk, Product, and Operations teams to refine decisioning logic, policies, and system capabilities, ensuring they remain scalable and future-proof. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and development of scalable technical solutions that enable strategic growth, operational efficiency, and seamless customer journeys.
- Defining technical patterns, integration approaches, and automation strategies to support service delivery.
- Translating operational requirements into technical designs, balancing cost, complexity, scalability, and risk.
- Partnering with Operational Design to ensure aligned process and system evolution.
- Challenging unnecessary complexity in solutions to maintain efficiency.
- Owning the AI and automation roadmap, identifying ways to reduce manual intervention and boost operational efficiency.
- Engaging with third-party technology suppliers to assess emerging capabilities.
- Defining clear delivery scope, including requirements, acceptance criteria, and test strategies.
- Supporting delivery planning, sequencing, and prioritisation with Systems Delivery and Strategy teams.
- Contributing to prototyping and early validation efforts to test feasibility and accelerate learning.
- Ensuring robust governance between design, build, and release with clear separation of roles and controls.

Qualifications & Requirements
We’re looking for a versatile leader with deep expertise in credit decisioning, technical design, and service delivery. This isn’t just a technical role—it requires an understanding of how systems enable business outcomes, specifically in credit and operational environments.
Key Experiences & Strengths:
✔ Strong technical solution design experience in high-service environments, with a proven track record in transforming credit, contact centre, and operational systems.
✔ Ability to translate business and operational strategy into scalable technical designs.
✔ Experience spanning process and system design, ensuring alignment between operational needs and technical capabilities.
✔ Deep understanding of automation, workflow orchestration, integration patterns, and AI-driven solutions.
✔ Hands-on experience engaging with third-party tech providers and assessing platform fit.
✔ Strong capability to define clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and test approaches for delivery teams.
✔ Analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in evaluating trade-offs across cost, risk, and complexity.
✔ Proven stakeholder management across Operational Design, Technology, Product, and Delivery teams.
