What You Will Be Doing

  • Overall ownership of credit risk across the European region.

  • Recommend account restrictions, STOP processes or withdrawal of credit where appropriate.
  • Manage significant customer escalations involving Commercial, Finance and Operations.
  • Support insolvency, legal recovery and business restructuring activities.
  • Partner with Commercial teams to support business growth whilst maintaining appropriate levels of financial risk.
  • Support commercial contract negotiations by advising on appropriate credit terms, financial security requirements and customer risk.
  • Build strong relationships with key airline customers and senior customer stakeholders.
  • Own European credit governance and ensure compliance with company policy.
  • Produce executive reporting, monthly debtor commentary and risk summaries for senior leadership.
  • Develop meaningful management information and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify trends, root causes and opportunities for continuous improvement, proactively challenging existing processes and ways of working to strengthen governance, reduce financial risk and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement across debtor management, billing interfaces, reporting and credit processes.
  • Lead implementation, optimisation and ongoing development of credit management systems and reporting tools.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
