Job Description: Credit Analyst/Manager
Location: Crewe (UK)
Working Arrangement: Full-time
Training & Development:
- Full training provided
- Support for qualifications: CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) or AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians)
About the Role
We’re looking for join our Credit team—whether you’re at the start of your career or seeking your next challenge.
While prior experience in credit or risk management is helpful, the right attitude is our top priority.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Tasks
- Process new credit applications, gathering essential information and making sound, informed decisions
- Meet and exceed agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
- Achieving final decisions within 1-2 days of agreed service standards
- Managing applications handled per day
- Reducing pending applications in Credit Control
- Risk mitigation: Identify opportunities to enhance approval rates, productivity, or workflow efficacy.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments
- Engage in cross-departmental projects to improve team and departmental performance
- Share insights and development ideas to enhance credit processes and systems
Performance & Escalation Management
- Ensure consistent credit underwriting standards
- Meet departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Maintain detailed records of all underwritten accounts
- Escalate accounts and issues as needed
- Mange account managers to minimise escalations
- Contribute to bad debt management to support overall Credit Department strategies
Essential Qualities
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Able to prioritise workloads effectively
- Sharp attention to detail
- Flexible mindset on processes and structure
Experience in credit or debt management is desirable but not mandatory.
