Credit Risk Analyst
Location: Wellingborough (hybrid, 3 days per week onsite) Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 per annum
If you enjoy turning data into insight that shapes real decisions, this role gives you room to grow, learn, and make a visible difference.
You will transform data into insights that shape how Arkle makes lending, pricing, and portfolio decisions. Working with large datasets, you’ll build clear analyses for senior stakeholders and keep core monitoring processes running smoothly.
It’s a hands-on role in a small, collaborative team where:

- There’s a clear pathway to progress within the credit function.
Hours Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, with 2 days per week flexibility to work from home.
What you’ll do
- Extract and manipulate large datasets using SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
- Turn raw data into insight to support senior decision-making.
- Maintain established monitoring processes and suggest improvements.
- Develop portfolio analysis, stress testing, and risk trend reporting.
- Track broker and customer behaviour to identify shifts early.

What you’ll bring
- Hands-on experience in credit risk analytics or business analytics.
- Knowledge of asset finance, motor finance, or consumer credit, including working knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act and CONC.
- Familiarity with external data sources (e.g. credit bureaus and fraud data).
- Strong Excel and Power BI skills, including:
- Ability to work with large datasets.
- Experience automating parts of reporting.
- Producing clear visual outputs.
- Experience using SQL, and ideally Python or similar tools.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
