Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Decision Systems Analyst with strong expertise in SAS, Microsoft Excel, and Credit Risk Decision Systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in validating credit decision strategies, analysing decision outcomes, developing emulators for decision validation, and identifying root causes across data, business rules, and system integrations.

This role requires an individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills who can independently investigate discrepancies between expected and actual credit decision outcomes while ensuring the integrity of credit risk strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review JSON payloads and credit decision outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate decisioning outputs against expected credit risk strategy behaviour.
  • Assess end-to-end credit decision journeys, from data capture through final decision outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain decision emulators to replicate expected credit decision logic.
  • Benchmark emulator outputs against live production decisions to identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate variances across data, business rules, and system integrations to determine root causes.
  • Analyse credit risk strategies, particularly acquisition strategies, and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for business and technology teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and improve decision accuracy.
  • Support testing and validation activities during strategy or system changes.

Key Requirements:

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAS.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with Credit Risk Decision Systems.
  • Ability to analyse JSON payloads and decision outputs.
  • Experience building and using decision emulators for validation.
  • Good understanding of data validation, business rules, and system integration.

Domain Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Credit Risk Strategies, with particular focus on Acquisition Strategies.
  • Familiarity with the end-to-end credit decision lifecycle:
    • Data Capture
    • Decision Engine
    • Decision Outcome
  • Knowledge of credit policy implementation and decision logic validation.
