Role Description
The Leveraged Finance Credit team supports the development, due diligence, approval, and implementation of leveraged transactions—including leveraged buyouts, M&A, refinancings, recapitalisations, and restructurings.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior colleagues to build expertise in the leveraged finance market, supporting all stages of the credit life cycle.
- Assist in credit due diligence reviews, including assessments of forecasts, financial models, and credit memoranda.
- Provide insights on loan return and profitability drivers.
- Develop a deep, multi-level understanding of client portfolios, industries, and macroeconomic conditions to evaluate risk.
- Ensure accurate monitoring (risk ratings, financial reports, compliance, forecasts, and annual reviews).
- Adhere to Bank credit policy, procedures, and documentation standards across loans and derivatives.
- Engage across Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Sales & Trading, Legal, and Risk.
- Participate in strategic projects to enhance team and business outcomes.

Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with a major financial institution, preferably through a graduate scheme or equivalent.
- Corporate credit background, with leveraged finance preferred (but not compulsory).
- Strong credit risk awareness and understanding of risk appetite, exposures, and ratings.
- Ability to analytically evaluate credit quality and derive insights from financial data.
- Proactive, adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Good conduct and sound judgment are essential—aligned with Bank’s Code of Conduct.
