Crime and Regulatory Solicitor

Crime & Regulatory Solicitor / Partner – Manchester – Up to £110,000

A highly regarded national practice with a strong reputation in complex regulatory and advisory work is seeking a Crime and Regulatory Solicitor / Partner to join its expanding Manchester team.

The firm is recognised for handling high-profile and sensitive matters across a range of regulated sectors, acting for clients in both the private and public spheres. This is an excellent opportunity for a Crime and Regulatory Solicitor / Partner to take ownership of complex matters while supporting the wider leadership team and contributing to the continued growth of the Manchester practice.


The Role:

  • Leading on a broad range of regulatory and compliance-based matters, including:
    • Coronial investigations
    • Statutory inquiries
    • Investigations by external regulatory bodies
  • Advising clients across corporate, public sector, and not-for-profit organisations on both contentious and advisory issues
  • Managing complex and high-profile matters from instruction through to conclusion
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members, supporting their development and performance
  • Supporting the operational running of the team and assisting senior leadership in day-to-day management
  • Maintaining high standards of client service, ensuring matters are delivered efficiently and effectively
  • Supporting business development activity and contributing to the growth of the practice

About You:

  • Experienced Senior Associate, Legal Director, or equivalent with a background in regulatory or criminal defence work
  • Strong track record of handling complex and sensitive matters
  • Confident in supervising and developing junior lawyers
  • Commercially aware, with a proactive, client-focused approach
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • Ambitious and looking to take a leading role within a growing team
