Crime and Regulatory Solicitor
Crime and Regulatory Solicitor / Legal Director – Regional Offices – Up to £120,000
A well-established national practice with a strong reputation in complex criminal and regulatory matters is seeking a Crime and Regulatory Solicitor / Legal Director to join its growing team across its Regional Offices.
The firm is recognised for handling high-profile and sensitive matters across a range of regulated sectors, acting for public sector bodies, corporates and other organisations. The Crime and Regulatory Solicitor / Legal Director will advise on complex investigations, enforcement action and regulatory proceedings, working closely with clients on strategic and reputationally sensitive matters across the firm’s Regional Offices.
The Role:
Leading criminal enforcement and regulatory prosecution work on behalf of regulators and public sector clients Supporting organisations with investigations and prosecutions, including drafting witness statements, reviewing documentary evidence, conducting interviews under caution and preparing cases for court Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court and, where required, the Crown Court Supervising and supporting junior lawyers involved in criminal investigations and regulatory prosecutions Assisting with the defence of regulatory investigations and proceedings brought by enforcement agencies and public bodies Advising on case strategy including evidence assessment, engagement with regulators, interviews under caution and plea considerations Managing complex matters from instruction through to conclusion Maintaining high standards of client service and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and effectively Supporting business development activity and contributing to the continued growth of the practice

About You:
Experienced Senior Associate, Legal Director or equivalent with a background in criminal, regulatory or enforcement work Strong track record of handling complex and sensitive matters Confident in supervising and developing junior team members Commercially aware with a proactive and client-focused approach Strong organisational and leadership skills Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Ambitious and keen to take on a senior role within a growing team
