Crime Paralegal

Crime Paralegal - West Midlands - Hybrid Working - Privately funded Crime

A well-established and highly regarded international criminal defence firm is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Crime Paralegal to join their growing and expert team in the Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of serious criminal matters, supporting fee earners on a privately funded caseload.

You will play a key role in:

  • Preparing cases
  • Liaising with clients
  • Assisting on matters from police station stage through to trial

Working within a busy and supportive team, this role offers:

  • Excellent exposure to high-quality work
  • A clear pathway for progression within criminal law

The Ideal Candidate

The firm is looking for candidates with:

  • 2+ years of previous experience within criminal law (e.g., Paralegal, Caseworker)
  • A strong understanding of criminal procedure
  • Confidence in assisting fee earners with a varied caseload
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and client care abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, reliable attitude
  • Enthusiasm to develop a long-term career in criminal law
  • Willingness to travel across the Midlands when required
