Crime Prevention Officer

Crime Prevention Officer (CPO) – Multi-Site Role

About the Role

Working Pattern: This is a mobile, multi-site role requiring flexibility to support operational needs across Aberdeen, with shift patterns varying depending on site requirements.

As a Crime Prevention Officer (CPO), you will be a highly visible frontline presence, working closely with store teams, Retail Security Officers (RSOs), local authorities, and law enforcement partners to:

  • Deter criminal activity and anti-social behaviour
  • Support safer retail environments
  • Investigate organised retail crime

This role combines operational security delivery, coaching, compliance monitoring, and intelligence gathering, ensuring frontline security teams operate effectively. Success requires strong observational skills, clear communication, proactive engagement, and uncompromising professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Crime Prevention & Security Operations

  • Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and organised retail crime.
  • Conduct proactive patrols and observations across assigned retail locations.
  • Respond effectively to incidents, alarms, and suspicious activity, taking appropriate action and escalating when necessary.
  • Monitor CCTV and security systems to identify and investigate criminal activity.
  • Produce accurate incident reports, intelligence submissions, and evidential documentation.
  • Support crime reduction initiatives through intelligence-led operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local police forces, community safety partnerships, and authorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
