Crime Solicitor
Criminal Defence Solicitors – NQ to 5+ Years PQE
Our Legal 500 client is expanding their Criminal Law team and is seeking Criminal Defence Solicitors with Newly Qualified (NQ) experience through to 5+ years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
About the Role

Police Station Accreditation on a Duty Status basis is desirable but not essential—training and mentorship will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Case management: Handle a diverse caseload of criminal matters for both legally aided and privately funded clients
- Advocacy: Conduct ** Magistrates’ Court representation**
- Court proceedings: Progress Crown Court cases from instruction to conclusion, including appearances and client representation at police stations
- Stakeholder engagement: Maintain strong liaison with colleagues, clients, courts, and third parties
- Case progression: Manage work proactively and efficiently, ensuring timely progress
- Legal documentation: Prepare clear, accurate legal advice and documentation
- Team collaboration: Support senior lawyers, contribute to team objectives, and uphold regulatory/compliance standards
- Professional growth: Engage in quality assurance and performance-driven oversight

Requirements
- Must be an NQ Solicitor or have 1+ to 5+ years’ PQE in Criminal Defence
- Notable-winning qualifications
- Preferences (not essential):
- Police Station Accreditation
- Experience with Crown Court advocacy
