Criminal Justice Recovery Navigator - Likewise
Location: Portland House, Sheffield S3 8UG
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with evening and weekend work included, on a rota basis.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £25,877.80 - £34,240.03 per annum
Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Navigator with a Criminal Justice focus to join the team at Likewise!
The team provides support and advice for individuals in Criminal Justice settings who are experiencing problematic substance use, to promote harm reduction, encourage ownership and promote positive change for the individual, their families, and the wider community. The Criminal Justice element of the team provides a tailored response to meet individual needs in with in a variety of Criminal Justice and Community settings to empower service users to make positive changes and give us the knowledge and resources to be able to reach and engage people with a range of needs within our communities.

In a multi-disciplinary approach working with partner agencies such as the Police, Probation, the Learning and Diversion team, Prisons, and many others, you will provide a targeted approach for service users, from harm reduction, brief interventions through to structured treatment, ensuring that every recovery journey is tailored to the individuals’ priorities, you will be working across a variety of Criminal Justice and Community settings.
You will take a “whole person” holistic approach, ensuring that each individual’s package of support is personal, flexible and realistic, that it encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every individual.
Please note that this post requires police and prison vetting.
About you:
- Understanding of and ability to implement interventions including brief interventions MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP.
- Knowledge and understanding of Criminal Justice Services.
- Knowledge of harm reduction approaches.
- Experience delivering 1-2-1 and group therapeutic interventions.
