Criminal Paralegal – Full-Time
Location: Central London (Based in Fitzrovia Office)
Salary: From £27,500 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience)
About the Role
J D Spicer Zeb Solicitors is seeking a highly motivated and academically strong individual to join our London office as a full-time Criminal Paralegal.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual looking to gain hands-on experience in criminal law at a busy and highly respected firm. You will work under the supervision of experienced solicitors and have direct involvement in a broad range of private and legal aid criminal cases.
We particularly welcome applications from SQE graduates looking to complete qualifying work experience (QWE) with a view to qualifying as a solicitor.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and progression of criminal cases
- Conducting legal research and drafting documents
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts, and other third parties
- Attending police stations and court hearings
- Supporting solicitors with case management and administration
Candidate Requirements
- Strong academic credentials, including a minimum 2:1 degree
- Demonstrable interest in criminal law is essential
- Completion of the LPC, SQE, or Bar Course is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Police Station Accreditation is an advantage, or a willingness to become accredited
- Previous experience in a criminal setting

- This is a full-time, office-based role with potential for hybrid working subject to agreement after an initial period
