Critical Environment (CE) Technical Trainer – Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) Learning
About the Role
In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day. We seek a Critical Environment (CE) Technical Trainer for our Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) Learning team.
As a CO+I Learning CE Technical Trainer, you will:
- Establish technical training delivery, assess workforce training needs, and support procedural change management for datacenters.
- Apply technical and adult learning fundamentals to evaluate and report on training activities.
- Develop your skills while coaching learners in career growth.
Location: On-site in datacenters with limited work-from-home opportunities.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Aligning learning initiatives with metrics for success (e.g., cloud consumption, survey feedback).
- Keeping awareness current with latest features, technologies, and operational best practices.
- Delivering single or multi-day training (in-person/virtual), using methods such as:
- Presentations
- Discussions
- Hands-on labs
- Simulations
- Digitally enhanced instructor-led resources
- Ensuring readiness for CE technicians to achieve local qualifications.
- Employing classroom management techniques like:
- Flexible learning
- Behavioral reinforcement
- Time management
- Fostering a supportive, question-driven learning environment.
- Monitoring learner progress, encouraging engagement, and providing course content feedback to expand curriculum relevance.
- Embracing and embodying our company culture and values.
Qualifications
Required:

A Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent experience in any of the following:
- Training/education
- Critical environments (CE)
- Cloud systems
- Datacentre environments
- Server environments
- Computer technologies

Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements (including:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check, conducted upon hire and biennially.

Preferred:
- Hands-on technical experience in:
- Facility systems: cooling, electrical, mechanical, and life safety
- Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
- Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM)
- Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS)
- Experience in training delivery, operational readiness, or project management.
- Strong analytical skills to translate training data and feedback into actionable insights.
- Structured operational planning with a bias for execution.
Technical Training IC³
Typical base pay range (UK): £42,000.00 – £71,900.00 per year View additional benefits/pay details at Microsoft Corporate Pay UK.
