What will I be doing?
You’ll be part of our Operations team, working across a variety of client sites to deliver essential water hygiene and maintenance services. No two days are the same, but you can expect to:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on water systems
- Conduct water sampling, flushing, and treatment activities
- Ensure compliance with ACOP L8, HSG274, and water hygiene regulations
- Accurately record all site work using company systems and software
- Identify and report system issues or non-compliances to Account Managers
- Build strong relationships with clients and represent SMS professionally on-site
- Support and mentor junior engineers where required
You’ll have the autonomy to manage your workload, with the support of an experienced team behind you.
What do I need to be successful?
We’re looking for someone who knows their stuff and takes pride in doing things properly. You’ll need:

- Proven experience in water hygiene, water treatment, or Legionella control
- Strong understanding of water hygiene regulations and best practices
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Confident communication and client-facing skills
- Awareness of Health & Safety practices (COSHH, risk assessments, etc.)
- Full UK driving licence
If you’ve worked across sectors like healthcare, education, or commercial environments — even better.
