Senior CRM Manager / CRM Lead

12-month FTC

Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote, plus flexible working)

A leading consumer technology business is seeking an experienced CRM leader to drive the next phase of its customer engagement strategy.

Reporting into the Head of Performance Marketing, this is a high-impact role with responsibility for shaping and evolving CRM performance across the entire customer lifecycle.

You'll work with a rich and complex customer dataset, leveraging data, automation, personalisation, and emerging technologies to deliver measurable commercial outcomes and exceptional customer experiences.

This is far more than a campaign delivery role. The successful candidate will play a key part in defining how CRM contributes to business growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage through intelligent, insight-led customer communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own CRM performance across the customer journey, delivering against commercial and engagement objectives
  • Identify and unlock growth opportunities across acquisition, conversion, retention, and reactivation
  • Lead the development and optimisation of customer segmentation strategies
  • Design and enhance personalised customer journeys, trigger-based communications, and lifecycle programmes
  • Champion a structured test-and-learn culture, building scalable frameworks that drive continuous improvement
  • Develop meaningful reporting and performance dashboards to support optimisation and decision-making
  • Ensure the effective validation and monitoring of automated customer journeys and trigger campaigns
  • Explore and implement new technologies, channels, and capabilities that improve CRM effectiveness and efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, analytics, commercial, and product teams to deliver an integrated, customer-centric strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
