The Role
The CRM Subscriptions Executive is responsible for leading the development and automation of personalised subscriber journeys through Braze. Leveraging data-driven insights and innovative approaches, you will drive deep engagement with our journalism, improve operational efficiencies, and maximise subscription revenue. From winning back lapsed users, to long-term retention and churn prevention, you will use multi-channel campaigns to build loyalty across our digital platforms.
Key Accountabilities
- Mapping out personalised customer journeys across multiple channels (email, website, app, etc) through Braze to enhance reader engagement, habit formation, and long-term subscription retention.
- Owning the CRM calendar to closely align with product launches, promotions, major news events, and subscription promotional periods.
- Utilise customer data to segment audiences effectively, leveraging CRM tools to identify opportunities based on content consumption, paywall interactions, and current subscription tiers.
- Tailor content messaging and subscription offers based on reader preferences, reading habits, and specific lifecycle stages (e.g., anonymous user, registered user, trialist, active subscriber, at-risk/churning).
- Implement x-channel CRM lifecycle campaigns, covering building, proofing, testing, and sending automated flows to drive incremental subscription value (e.g., onboarding series, premium upgrade campaigns, and win-back flows).
- Conduct A/B tests to optimise personalisation strategies, messaging, and content delivery for maximum impact and effectiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Commercial, Product, SEO, Tech & Data, to align initiatives with broader business goals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
