CRM Team Lead

CRM Team Lead based in United Kingdom

This role sits at the intersection of leadership, CRM execution, and customer experience innovation. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering impactful, data-driven CRM campaigns across multiple channels, primarily within the Braze ecosystem.

Acting as both a people leader and hands-on expert, you will ensure campaigns are executed with precision, speed, and strategic alignment. You will work closely with strategy, data, and client stakeholders to translate ideas into scalable customer journeys.

The role combines operational leadership with deep CRM expertise, requiring both strong technical understanding and team management skills. You will play a key role in elevating campaign quality while driving measurable client success in a fast-paced, agency environment.


Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for leading CRM delivery excellence while guiding a team to consistently high performance across multiple client engagements. You will ensure that strategy is translated into flawless execution and that CRM initiatives deliver meaningful business impact.

  • Team Leadership:
    • Leading and mentoring a team of up to 10 CRM Consultants, ensuring high standards of delivery, quality, and efficiency.
  • Campaign Execution:
    • Overseeing end-to-end execution of CRM campaigns across multiple channels within the Braze platform.
  • CRM Strategy & Design:
    • Designing, configuring, and optimising CRM workflows, campaigns, and customer journeys using Braze.
    • Ensuring strong alignment between strategy and execution by working closely with strategy and client-facing teams.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Managing QA processes to guarantee accuracy across campaigns, segmentation, integrations, and documentation.
  • Client Collaboration:
    • Partnering with clients to understand objectives and translate them into effective CRM solutions.
  • Process Optimisation:
    • Driving best practices in segmentation, personalisation, and campaign performance optimisation.
    • Supporting continuous improvement of CRM operations through smarter processes and automation opportunities.

Requirements

This position requires strong CRM expertise combined with proven leadership experience in fast-paced, client-facing environments. The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and highly people-oriented, with the ability to manage complexity while maintaining executional excellence.

  • Tenure & Leadership:
    • 10+ years of experience in CRM, customer engagement, or digital marketing roles.
    • 4+ years of experience in a leadership role (e.g., CRM Team Lead, Head of CRM, or similar) managing delivery teams.
  • Braze Proficiency:
    • At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Braze, including campaign setup, segmentation, and automation.
  • Strategic & Technical Skillsets:
    • Strong understanding of CRM strategy, customer lifecycle marketing, and digital customer experience.
    • Experience working with relational data structures and segmentation logic to support personalised campaigns.
    • Positioning for Occurrences:
      • Strong attention to detail with experience performing QA across campaigns and technical implementations.
      • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced agency or consultancy environment.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
    • Prosocative, collaborative mindset with the ability to lead by example and inspire teams.
  • Language:
    • Fluency in English (C1 level or higher), both written and spoken.
