Level 3 Crop Technician / General Farm Worker

Supporting all aspects of a 1800 hectare Farm, Operating and maintaining machinery on farm and on roads. Assisting with Livestock operations and harvest work.

Wages will begin in line with Apprenticeship minimum wages and will increase with performance reviews and age.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Level 3 Crop Technician / General Farm Worker.

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own tractor and equipment in line with service and maintenance schedules.

Tasks include:

• Topping, muck spreading, mucking out cattle sheds (using teleporter)
• Bale carting
• Harvest work
• Livestock support, Less husbandry, more machine operations.
• Spraying, (once qualified)

The role includes working on your own at times.

Operating farm vehicles on the road (min age 18).
