Crypto Researcher
Crypto Banter is the world’s No.1 LIVE crypto streaming channel with multiple distribution arms, sharing breaking news and alpha to the world. What started with two enthusiasts in a coffee shop has evolved into a consortium of the most influential media channels in the industry, accruing over 10M monthly views; and a suite of products built for every stage of the crypto journey. We are a group of misfits and entrepreneurs who work harder than anyone else, fuelled by an obsession for what we do. We are on a mission to build the most profitable community in the world.
About the Role
We are looking for a Crypto Researcher to sit at the heart of our daily content, owning the research that shapes what we say on air and the trade ideas we put in front of our community.
This is a commercially accountable role. Your work directly influences the quality, credibility, and tradability of everything we publish. You will be expected to spot narratives before they break, pressure-test ideas with data, and turn raw market noise into clear, actionable insight.
This is a remote-first (based anywhere in the world) role, aligned to South African Standard Time (SAST). Given the 24/7 nature of crypto markets, you will need to be comfortable researching outside traditional hours to stay ahead of developments.
Responsibilities
Market Tracking
- Track the markets around the clock
- Stay informed on global events that could impact markets, with a particular focus on cryptocurrency trends
- Keep on top of macroeconomic shifts and how they may influence market movements
- Because our markets never sleep, being online and researching outside standard hours is crucial for staying ahead of potential developments

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
