About the Role
The CT department at New Cross hospital consists of four scanners, with an additional two scanners at our newly opened Community Diagnostic Centre at Cannock Chase Hospital.
You will work alongside an innovative team of professionals, performing a wide range of CT examinations including advanced cardiac and colon scanning. In addition, you will offer support, guidance and training to junior members of staff and trainees, helping develop people and services.
We are passionate about providing excellent patient care and as a Senior Radiographer, you will be an integral part of the patients care and journey through Radiology. We are equally committed to growing you as a professional and have multiple opportunities for growth and career progression including post graduate training and advanced learning/development.

- Must have a degree or equivalent qualification in Diagnostic Radiography
- Be registered with the HCPC
Work Schedule
Hours will include weekends and bank holidays and successful candidates will be expected to participate in night shifts. This service is delivered across 2 sites - New Cross hospital in Wolverhampton and Cannock Chase Hospital in Cannock. Applicants will be expected to rotate across all sites.
Where the essential criteria cannot be fully met, training may be considered under Annex 21 of Agenda for Change.
Duties
- Work on a rotation, undertaking radiographic duties in CT scanning
- Administer I.V injections of contrast media to patients
- Work flexibly to provide these services including weekends, nights and Bank Holidays
