About You
You're a proven technology owner, leader, and team builder with the credibility, judgement, and presence to operate confidently at Executive and Board level. You have significant senior leadership experience in technology roles, with progressive responsibility at CTO, Group, Executive, or equivalent level.
You have ideally evolved with an SME or scale-up business through meaningful growth, helping an organisation move from a similar size or stage of maturity to TIG into a more scalable, structured, and resilient technology operation. You understand what it takes to mature technology, teams, governance, delivery, and operating models without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
You've led multiple technology functions across software engineering, platform and infrastructure, security, architecture, and programme delivery. You bring a strong technical foundation, whether from software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, architecture, security, or a combination of these areas. We are particularly interested in leaders with breadth across diverse systems, including experience of on-premise environments, pre-cloud technology estates, cloud transformation, and modern platform models.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You've operated in high-uptime, customer-critical environments where reliability, resilience, security, and customer impact are central to decision-making. You can clearly articulate what was broken or immature when you arrived, the decisions you made, how you balanced risk and pace, and the measurable outcomes you delivered.
You're commercially aware and experienced in managing technology budgets, cost optimisation, vendors, and strategic partners. You're comfortable working directly with Finance and CFO-level stakeholders to align technology investment to targeted commercial outcomes, ROI, risk reduction, operational efficiency, and business growth.
As a leader, you build trust quickly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You know how to lead technology teams directly, but also how to create effective cross-collaboration between different technology functions. You are comfortable leading in complex environments where the subject matter expert may sit within the team, while still providing clear direction, accountability, challenge, and decision-making at leadership level.
About The Role
We're looking for a Group-level Chief Technology Officer to define, lead, and deliver the technology strategy across The Investigo Group.
This is a senior executive role with accountability for the direction, execution, performance, and outcomes of the Group's technology estate, spanning software engineering, AI and data-driven products, platform and infrastructure, security, architecture, and programme delivery.
The CTO will be responsible for stabilising, de-risking, and maturing a complex, customer-critical environment while shaping a modern, scalable operating model that supports future growth. This includes improving reliability, resilience, delivery predictability, governance, security, and customer confidence across the Group.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll work closely with the Board, Executive Team, and CFO to translate business strategy into clear technology roadmaps, make sound investment decisions, manage budgets and commercial trade-offs, and ensure technology initiatives deliver measurable business value.
This role requires a leader who can balance strategic vision with pragmatic execution. You'll bring clarity to priorities, strengthen governance and risk management, improve cross-functional delivery, and build strong senior leadership capability across technology.
The successful candidate will have experience leading through technology or operating model transformation, with a track record of delivering high-impact, cross-business technology programmes. You'll be equally comfortable setting direction, challenging assumptions, holding teams to account, and supporting subject matter experts to deliver complex technical outcomes.
While this is a senior and influential role, you'll be joining at the right point in TIG's growth journey, with the opportunity to shape the next stage of technology maturity without having to start from scratch. You'll be supported by an established, experienced, and highly collaborative leadership team, with strong technical capability already in place across the business, including a technically strong Programme Director and our Development & AI Director, both sitting within the Technical Authority and ready to work with and support you. This is not a role where you'll be expected to operate in isolation or solve everything alone. Our current CTO will remain within the Group in a more technically focused CTA role, providing continuity, technical context, and structured knowledge transfer. You'll have a strong team around you to lean on and rely on, giving you the support and insight needed to understand the environment, make informed decisions, and focus your energy on shaping strategy, improving delivery, and helping the business scale with confidence.
