Purpose of the post:

To provide high‑quality operational and coordination support for learning and capability activity, enabling effective delivery through accurate administration, use of digital tools and responsive customer support. The role supports efficiency, data quality and service delivery, working under the direction of the EO and within established processes.

About the role:

The Capability & Learning Support Officer provides practical support to the Culture & Capability team, ensuring learning activity runs smoothly and that records, systems and enquiries are managed accurately and professionally. The role increasingly uses digital and AI‑supported tools to improve efficiency and consistency, while remaining focused on delivery support rather than decision‑making or oversight. This role reports to the Culture & Capability Operations Officer.

  • Listening: Understand discussions and instructions even on unfamiliar topics. (Level 4)
  • Speaking: Able to speak and engage in discussion at length, confidently and without prompting. (Level 4)
  • Reading: Understand correspondence, newspaper articles and reports aimed at fluent Welsh speakers. (Level 4)
  • Writing: Able to write different types of texts in styles that are appropriate to the reader in mind. (Level 4)

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage routine tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
