Salary range: £50,085 – £52,194 p.a. (Grade 12) + benefits Contract: Fixed Term / Internal Secondment (2 years) Hours: 36 hrs/week Location: Croydon
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join Croydon’s Culture and Creative Health teams, leading evaluation of their ambitious programmes: Creative Health and Cultural Activations.
Areas Served
Creative Health
Delivered in partnership with Public Health, the programme supports 170+ local artists and organisations to drive health, wellbeing, and social impact through:

Creative Health Network Provides workshops, mentorship, networking, funding guidance, and strategic advice for a diverse cohort.

Community Grants Funds educational initiatives targeting complex local health priorities, such as mental wellness and physical activity.

Targeted Interventions Develops bespoke projects addressing specific community needs (e.g., inter-generational creative health programmes).

Sector Advocacy Shifts policy and partnerships between health, social care, and cultural sectors to expand system-wide adoption of creative health.
Evaluation responsibilities include measuring individual and population-level impact of interventions and assessing sector growth.
Cultural Activations
Croydon’s flagship public realm and event programme, supporting town-centre regeneration by:
- Enhancing "pride of place"
- Attracting visitors and stakeholders
- Boosting economic and cultural growth

Evaluation involves:
- Community/audience feedback collection
- Public realm impact analysis via datasets
- Partner feedback from cultural organisations, businesses, and local campaigners
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and embed robust evaluation frameworks aligned with programmatic ambitions across both areas.
- Lead data collection across events, projects, and sector initiatives.
- Train and support funded partners in monitoring, reporting, and project evaluation.
- Manage grant reporting and impact tracking for stakeholders, funders, and decision-makers.
- Apply flexible evaluation methodologies (quantitative + qualitative) tailored to community context.
- Use digital tools, analytics, and reporting to interpret and communicate findings across sectors.
- Champion arts/culture integration with health, care, and statutory services through data translation.
Core Requirements
- Proven experience in evaluating cultural, creative, and health programmes within community settings.
- Strong analytical and digital skills: proficiency in data analysis, dashboards (e.g., Tableau), statistical tools, and reporting software.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including parents, marginalised groups, and arts organisations.
- Processes with government/III sector partnership design, delivery and engagement activities - understanding and experience of outcomes-based financi ng opportunities
- Excellent communication and engagement abilities to translate complex evidence for different audiences.
- Self-direction required; this is a single-functional position within a fast-paced, cross-departmental context.
