Description
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Curriculum Lead to join our team at Cadbury College on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator and leader to play a key role in driving curriculum excellence, student achievement, and continuous improvement within a dynamic Further Education environment.
As Curriculum Lead, you will support the strategic and operational management of the curriculum area, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and student outcomes. You will work closely with teaching staff to drive quality improvement, curriculum innovation, and an outstanding learner experience.
The successful candidate will combine strong curriculum expertise with effective leadership skills, helping to motivate and support staff while ensuring programmes meet the needs of learners, employers, and industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across the curriculum area
- Support the development and implementation of curriculum plans and strategies
- Monitor student progress, achievement, attendance, and retention
- Contribute to quality improvement activities and self-assessment processes
- Support and mentor teaching staff to ensure high standards of delivery
- Assist with curriculum planning, timetabling, and resource management
- Develop positive relationships with employers, stakeholders, and external partners
- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Lead on a cross-college project as determined by current business needs
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with college policies and procedures
- Participate in recruitment, enrolment, open days, and college events

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Degree or relevant qualification in a related subject area
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent)
- Experience delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Further Education or similar settings
- Experience supporting curriculum development and quality improvement
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and support staff and learners
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
Desirable
- Experience in a curriculum leadership or management role
- Knowledge of current FE funding, inspection, and quality frameworks
- Industry experience relevant to the curriculum area
