About This Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and highly motivated Curriculum Lead of Media to join our successful team. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher and leader who is passionate about Media Studies and committed to inspiring young people to achieve their very best.
Media is a popular and thriving subject within our school, with strong GCSE and A Level uptake and consistently positive outcomes. We are looking for someone who can build on this success by leading the subject strategically, driving high standards of teaching and learning, and ensuring excellent student progress and achievement.
Teaching & Pastoral Expectations
- Lead the strategic development of Media across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Teach Media Studies at GCSE and A Level.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire a love of learning.
- Develop and implement a well-sequenced, ambitious curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and use data effectively to raise achievement.
- Support and develop colleagues through collaboration, coaching, and curriculum leadership.
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and enrichment opportunities.
- Act as a form tutor and play an active role in supporting students' personal development and wellbeing.
- Line manage or teach the BTEC Level 2 Creative Digital Production provision.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- A qualified teacher with a strong track record of excellent classroom practice.
- Has expertise in Media Studies and experience teaching at KS4 and KS5.
- Demonstrates a passion for curriculum development and raising standards.
- Has the ability to inspire students and colleagues alike.
- Is committed to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
- Has high expectations of achievement, behavior, and attendance.
- Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
