Passionate about shaping the future of A Level Humanities? Join our London-based Further Education team as a Curriculum Manager and lead the development and delivery of outstanding, industry-relevant programmes that inspire student success.
About the Role: Curriculum Manager A Level Humanities
As a Curriculum Manager for A Level Humanities, you will play a pivotal role in driving our strategic objectives and ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and learner experience across our Humanities curriculum (including History, Politics, Law, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Economics, Business, and future V-Levels).
You will lead the development and delivery of outstanding education provision while collaborating with staff to:
- Implement innovative and inclusive practices to support learners and colleagues.
- Ensure learner-focused curriculum design tailored to Awarding Body requirements (Edexcel, AQA, or OCR).
- Lead budget management and resource allocation for cost-effective, high-impact delivery.
- Oversee data-driven improvements in attendance, retention, and progression.
- Manage quality assurance, compliance, and audit processes (including Ofsted inspections).
This is a full-time, permanent role suited to experienced leaders with a proven track record in curriculum strategy and senior educational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of 14 teaching and support staff, driving performance and accountability.
- Shape strategic curriculum direction in alignment with college goals and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate across departments to foster innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with funding regulations, Ofsted expectations, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Support internal and external audits, including Ofsted inspections and quality reviews.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with awarding bodies, exam boards, and industry partners.

About You
We’re seeking an experienced, passionate leader with:
- Proven success in managing teams or departments in further education or comparable settings.
- Deep expertise in curriculum design, quality assurance, and student achievement.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to build partnerships internally and externally.
- Commitment to inclusive, empowering learning environments.
- Proactive leadership with a focus on continuous improvement and learner success.
- Relevant qualifications (teaching certification) and leadership training, or willingness to obtain them.
- Experience teaching A Level subjects such as History, Politics, Law, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Economics, or Business.
- A relentless drive to enhance education and contribute to the long-term success of the organisation.
About The Team
You’ll join a dynamic, high-performing leadership team dedicated to delivering on shared goals. This role involves line management of 14 staff, fostering a culture of excellence through mentorship and professional growth.
As part of CCC’s senior leadership structure, you’ll contribute to shaping the college’s strategic vision, ensuring its realisation through effective leadership, innovation, and operational oversight.
