Curriculum Manager (A Level Humanities) – London-Based Further Education Role

About the Role: Curriculum Manager (A Level Humanities)
As a Curriculum Manager for A Level Humanities, you will drive strategic objectives and ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and learner experience across a comprehensive Humanities curriculum, including:
- A Levels: History, Politics, Law, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Economics, Business
- Future qualifications (V-Levels)
You will be responsible for shaping curriculum delivery to ensure the highest quality educational provision, aligning with industry-relevant standards and ensuring compliance with awarding bodies (Edexcel, AQA or OCR).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum development and delivery to ensure innovative, inclusive, and learner-focused programmes
- Collaborate with departmental staff to foster a culture of excellence, support colleague development, and drive performance
- Line manage a team of 14 staff members, focusing on accountability, career progression, and professional development
- Design high-quality, data-informed curriculum strategies that improve attendance, retention, and progression
- Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and operational efficiency to optimise cost-effectiveness -u Repeat for and contribute to internal/audit processes, including Ofsted inspections and Quality Reviews (QA)
- Ensure compliance with funding regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality assurance frameworks
- Support strategic decisions aligned with the college’s broader vision for excellence and innovation
Essential Requirements
You will excel in this role if you can demonstrate:
✔ A proven track record in leading curriculum design, development, and delivery at a senior level ✔ Leading international business team, with responsibility for managing budgets and ensuring performance: Experience in managing teams within further/higher education (or equivalent settings) ✔ Expertise in quality assurance (QA) and compliance, including audit preparation and inspection readiness ✔ Strong understanding of learner analytics and the ability to leverage data-driven strategies for improvement ✔ Commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning ✔ Relevant A Level teaching specialist (simple or former qualification) and people management/leadership experience ✔ Willingness to pursue further professional development, including QA training or Educational Leadership qualifications

About The Team
This senior leadership role allows you to shape the strategic direction of Capital City College (CCC), London’s largest Further Education provider, with an unparalleled Global flagship college.
Your work will involve:
- Collaborating with the leadership team to drive impactful curriculum innovation
- Ensuring alignment with college-wide priorities while maintaining departmental excellence
- Representing CCC at external forums (advisory councils, partnerships, or awarding body meetings)
