Curriculum Manager – Capital City College

About the Role

  • Position: Curriculum Manager (Fixed Term, Full-Time)
  • Contract End Date: 16th July 2027
  • Sector: Education (Accounting, Finance, Business & Vocational Training)
  • Accreditations Covered: AAT, VTCT, Pearson, ACCA, OCN, NCFE

We are looking for a passionate and confident leader to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, inspiring ambition and progress in students across our curriculum areas.

This senior management position is tailored for experienced professionals who already operate at this level and are eager to shape educational strategy, foster team excellence, and drive learner success.


About The Team

As a Curriculum Manager for Professional Services, you will:

  • Join a high-performing leadership team aligned with Capital City College’s strategic goals.
  • Direct a team of six staff members, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure collaboration, development, and best practice.
  • Take a lead role in curriculum innovation, quality assurance, and operational oversight.
  • Contribute to the long-term strategic direction of the College, ensuring alignment with industry standards and student progression paths.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Leadership:

    • Design, manage, and refine a pastoralclusive learning curriculum in line with established qualifications (AAT, VTCT, Pearson, ACCA, etc.).
    • Lead inital improvement initiatives to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
  • Team Management & Development:

    • Provide leadership and support to your team, fostering a culture of resilience, collaboration, and mentorship.
    • Ensure strategic alignment across departments and shared goals.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Monitor and adapt processes to maintain high standards in assessment and student achievement.
    • Drive professional development initiatives to maintain industry-relevant knowledge.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic, visionary leader with:

  • Proven track record in managing teams, departments, or senior roles within education (or equivalent industry professionals).
  • Deep expertise in curriculum development, quality assurance, and educational policy, with technical knowledge of accounting, finance, and vocational training sectors.
  • Strong strategic and operational intelligence—balancing vision with practical execution.
  • Excellent communication skills (both internally and externally) and a collaborative mindset.
  • Commitment to inclusive, learner-centred environments, including safeguarding awareness.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications (or a willingness to qualify) and leadership training experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills—able to inspire teams, motivate individuals, and build partnerships that champion learner success.
