Role Purpose
As Customer Account Manager – Breakfast, you’ll lead growth across Waitrose, Co-op and Nisa, while acting as a channel growth partner across Convenience, Wholesale and Discounters. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role where you’ll combine strategy, execution and relationship-building to deliver strong performance and unlock new opportunities.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of your accounts and channels, driving growth through:
Developing and delivering Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned to customer and business priorities Identifying and accelerating new growth opportunities across your customers and wider channels Acting as a key growth partner across Convenience, Wholesale and Discounter channels Building strong, strategic relationships that drive sustainable commercial success Leading negotiations, presentations and product launches with confidence Owning P&L delivery, ensuring profitable growth across your accounts Driving accurate forecasting in partnership with Supply Chain and Finance Planning and delivering impactful promotional programmes, from set-up through to evaluation Partnering closely with Marketing and Category teams to close distribution gaps and drive NPD success Managing pricing, trade investment and ROI to optimise performance Delivering regular performance reviews and using insight to shape future plans

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who brings energy, resilience and a genuine passion for growth: You’ll bring:
An entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive, self-starting approach Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking Confidence in fact-based selling and negotiation A natural ability to build winning relationships Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills A collaborative approach and the ability to work cross-functionally
Ideally FMCG account management experience (2–3+ years) Knowledge of relevant customers or channels Experience managing budgets and delivering commercial results
