The role
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our dynamic Customer Accounts Team as a Customer Accounts Representative (CAR). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 12 months of experience in bank reconciliation or payments to build on their existing knowledge and gain exposure to broader finance operations.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build on their foundational finance experience, explore how payments and reporting drive business decisions, and grow within a supportive and fast-paced team.
Please note: This role is hybrid, with one fixed office day per week (typically Thursday). There may be occasions where additional office days are needed to support business requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work at the heart of the business where money moves in and out every day.
- Apply and expand your understanding of bank reconciliation, BACS processes, and financial accuracy.
- Support day-to-day banking operations, including payments, suspense queues, and DCA posting.
- Help manage invoices and purchase order processes, linking them to overall financial performance.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure correct payment and invoice information is shared and actioned.
- Gain exposure to Bottom Line Reporting and commercial finance insights.
- Suggest improvements and help shape better processes.
- Be a go-to contact for cross-departmental queries, helping colleagues across the business navigate payment and invoice processes with clarity and confidence.

Essential Criteria
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in banking, payments, or a similar finance role.
- A keen interest in finance, numbers, and business processes.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Confidence to ask questions, collaborate with others, and get stuck in.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with Pan front & back office systems is desirable.
