Working with cross-functional and regional teams, you implement a portfolio strategy that is aligned with the brand vision to drive sustainable growth. You support profit and loss management and future business development plans and objectives including new product development and platform opportunities.
How you will contribute
Working with other internal stakeholders, you will support the brand portfolio strategy and priorities to enable consumer-centric brand portfolio growth. You will develop annual plans, setting objectives and allocating resources. In addition, you will offer recommendations for integrated commercial plans, develop and execute marketing plans that deliver on revenue and profit forecasts, and share objectives. Based on your deep consumer insights and brand positioning, you will develop and implement integrated marketing communications and 360-degree campaigns.

More about this role
This Customer Activation Manager sits within the Commercial Europe unit, a team that covers specific, smaller, or emerging markets (e.g., Iceland, Malta, Israel) and builds complementary distribution for brands in larger European markets (e.g., United Kingdom and Germany).
What You'll Actually Do
Shopper Marketing & Customer Activation
- Build and execute customer-focused activation plans within key European retailers (e.g., Tesco, Rossmann, Decathlon). Either partner with the sales team or independently build special activation plans using relevant commercial tools. This could include designing in-store POS displays and secondary placements, developing retailer-specific promotional calendars, building influencer partnerships for retail activations (e.g., fitness influencers sampling Clif at point-of-sale), co-creating retailer media campaigns (shelf talkers, digital screens, loyalty app features), and crafting occasion-based activations (e.g., "back to gym" January campaigns or summer outdoor snacking moments)
Brand Focus
- Primarily working on non-integrated bar businesses (Clif), plus complementary distribution brands like Philadelphia, Marabou (Germany), and Cadbury (Spain).
What Sets the Ideal Candidate Apart
- Unconventional approach - creative, challenger-brand thinking, taking advantage on current trends.
- Deep understanding of UK retail structure - how UK grocery/retail operates at a practical level.
- Functional food experience (nice to have) - background in functional drinks or food brands (sports nutrition, health-focused products).
