Customer Advisor

Customer Advisor Open to part time (up to 36.75 hrs/week) or full time – Permanent Contract Location: B&Q Biggleswade Notional Hourly Rate: £13.10 Availability: Shifts Monday–Sunday, 7am–10pm


About the Role

At B&Q, we help millions of customers turn their homes into spaces they love—through inspiration, advice, tools, and confidence. As a Customer Advisor, you’ll bring expertise, enthusiasm, and supoort to our store, using your passion for home improvement to help customers succeed in their projects.


What You’ll Do

As our Customer Advisor, your day-to-day role will include:

  • Providing inspireing guidance and customer-focused advice to help customers achieve their home improvement goals
  • Supporting sales and product knowledge (tools, materials, and accessories)
  • Managing stock rotation, restocking shelves, and setting up store displays to ensure a great customer experience
  • Painting wall colours (during training) and basic carpentry tasks to help maintain our presentation
  • Working across all store systems, including POS terminals, inventory software, and our customer apps
  • Maintaining a welcoming store environment with proper hygiene, customer service, and tidiness
