Customer Advisor

Part Time – 22.5 hours per week | Permanent Contract

📍 Location: B&Q Rotherham

Hourly Rate: £13.10 per hour Shift Times: Monday – Sunday, 7.00am – 10.00pm

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate individual to join our team, helping to manage our vibrant garden centre, care for plants, and support customers with outdoor inspiration and advice.

Familiarity with plant care is helpful but not essential—training will be provided. If you simply have an enthusiasm for home improvement and gardening, this could be the perfect fit.

We believe home improvement transforms lives. As a Customer Advisor, you’ll be key in helping customers:

  • Find the right products for their projects
  • Get personalised advice
  • Be inspired by ideas and designs

Your role goes beyond sales—you’ll also help with stock management, display setup, and maintaining a great store environment. You’ll even get to expand your skills in areas like paint mixing and timber cutting, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of home improvement solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
